DAF CHICKEN NECKS

These necks are suitable for smaller dogs. Enid loves them.

It's recommended that owners keep an eye on their dog while they are eating bones.  If you've got a gulper on your hand who likes to swallow necks whole, one tip is to hold the one end of the bone while your dog chews and breaks the neck into smaller pieces.

Raw, non-weight bearing bones are fairly soft, so can be digested easily whilst offering a bit of a crunchy texture. Raw chicken necks provide a bit of texture and variety to the daily meal. They offer great mental stimulation, contribute to optimal health and are a lean source of protein and other nutrients. Due to the texture, they'll also contribute to keeping your dog's gnashers pearly white.

As with all bones though, don't feed too many in one sitting as too much of this good thing can cause constipation.

Disappointing

My dogs love raw chicken necks which I used to buy from the butcher. Unfortunately, the butcher closed down so I thought I would try the necks from DogMeatsBone. I was satisfied with most of the items ordered but the chicken necks came frozen completely together and I had to get a chisel and hammer to separated them. I am sure you would agree that this isn't convenient for the purchaser. I'm not sure if they had been allowed to defrost and refrozen or it the sellers delivered them in this condition. Either way, not something I would buy again, just in case.

Hi Linda,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.

I'm sorry you had such a tough time with the chicken necks.

Rest assured no product is ever defrosted and then re-frozen by us.
Chicken necks are a real favourite of my dog but as these necks are frozen from fresh they can form a mass in the bag when they freeze.

What I have done at home is to let them defrost slightly and then separate them in the bag or even better, pull them apart, pop them on a tray in a single layer and freeze them again. Once fully frozen, throw then back in the bag.

I understand if you don't want to risk it again. If there is ever a problem in the future with any product, please don't hesitate to call me and I'll do my very best to help.

My dog loves the chicken necks!

My dog loves the chicken necks, and I like knowing that I'm giving her a healthy treat. They don't make a mess or smell, which is also a bonus.

The treat to end all treats!!

I've never tried raw food before for my dog (a show cocker spaniel - 9 years old) but had heard good things and I also really liked the philosophy of this company -the transparency about the contents of the food and they seemed like good quality products. However I was not prepared for how much my dog LOVES these chicken necks. I keep them in the freezer and defrost in tepid water - Penny knows when I go to the freezer she is in for a treat and gets very excited - it's very sweet. Other dried treats don't come close. Also I was pleased as they seem fine for her stomach and the raw bones are pliable and chewy - seriously the ultimate dog treat!
